On March 9, 2017, the Zhongshan Intellectual Property Office and Zhongshan Yunchuang Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd. jointly held a press conference on the achievements of the “Zhongshan Electric Vehicle Industry Development Patent Navigation Project” at the Zhongshan Daxin Business Conference Center Hotel. Vice Director He Jufeng of Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau and Deputy Mayor Xu Xiaoli of Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government attended the press conference and delivered speeches. Director Yin Ming of Zhongshan Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau presided over the meeting, and leaders from relevant departments of the city’s electric vehicle industry and representatives of electric vehicle related industry entrepreneurs participated in the event.
Zheng Xiaobing, General Manager of Zhongshan Yunchuang Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd., released the main research results of the patent navigation project, analyzing the information of the electric vehicle industry and the current development status of the electric vehicle industry in Zhongshan. Combining with industry information, he revealed the current status of global electric vehicle patent layout, technological development trends, patent risk analysis, as well as the problems and opportunities in the development and patent layout of the electric vehicle industry in Zhongshan. He also put forward many suggestions for the subsequent implementation of navigation and effective support for enterprise and industry development, which were recognized and actively exchanged by relevant leaders.
Vice Mayor Xu Xiaoli stated that in order to further promote the rapid development of the electric vehicle industry in Zhongshan City, with the strong support of the Provincial Intellectual Property Office, Zhongshan City has launched the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Patent Navigation Project. By using patent information retrieval and analysis, it comprehensively reveals the direction of structural adjustment, market demand hotspots, and key technological development directions of the electric vehicle industry. It focuses on the development direction of the electric vehicle industry chain in close range, promotes the deep integration of patent analysis and industrial operation decision-making, strengthens the collaborative promotion mechanism of intellectual property and industrial integration development, promotes the flow and aggregation of elements such as intellectual property, leading talents, and industrial capital, promotes the strategic use and commercial value realization of intellectual property, supports the new normal of economic development and industrial optimization with intellectual property, and accelerates the overall competitiveness of regional industries.
Deputy Director He Jufeng pointed out that the electric vehicle industry is developing rapidly, and conducting research on patent navigation will further promote the development of patent information and collaborative application in the electric vehicle industry, and build a good patent technology ecosystem and innovative development environment for the electric vehicle industry. We hope that the Zhongshan Municipal Government will take the electric vehicle industry patent navigation project as a starting point, deepen the collaborative application of industrial patents, plan to establish an electric vehicle industry intellectual property alliance, and build the electric vehicle industry into a high growth industry that fully utilizes the advantages of the intellectual property system; I hope the patent navigation project team can delve into the electric vehicle industry enterprises, provide specific and feasible solutions for the upgrading of the electric vehicle industry and the innovative development of enterprises, so that the project can complete the “last mile” and play a more practical and significant role; I hope that electric vehicle enterprises in Zhongshan City can fully utilize the research results of patent navigation, carry out patent creation, layout, and operation, and promote the strengthening and expansion of the electric vehicle industry.
Deputy Director He Jufeng stated that the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office will continue to support the coordinated development of the electric vehicle industry and intellectual property in Zhongshan City, and fully support Zhongshan’s construction as a national intellectual property demonstration city. The Intellectual Property Bureau of Zhongshan City will continue to introduce corresponding policies to encourage intellectual property service agencies, enterprises and other units to carry out corresponding patent navigation work in more industrial fields, continue to improve the working mechanism of patent navigation to guide industrial development, steadily achieve the optimization of industrial advantageous resources allocation, enhance the independent innovation ability of industrial enterprises in Zhongshan City, and promote the rapid improvement of the overall competitiveness of Zhongshan City’s industries.
