From September 11, 2017 to September 12, 2017, ScienBiziP held a training and seminar on enhancing the standardization ability of Shenzhen’s intellectual property management system at the Bolin St. Helens Hotel. Qin Shijie, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau, Chen Mingang, Director of the Intellectual Property Promotion Department, Guo Liang, General Manager and Deputy General Manager of Zhongguo (Beijing) Certification Co., Ltd., and Zheng Xiaobing, General Manager of ScienBiziP, attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Zheng Xiaobing, General Manager of ScienBiziP, explained the background of holding this training course: there are some simple templates in the current process of promoting standardization, and the intellectual property management system formulated is difficult to operate within the enterprise; Enterprises have insufficient understanding of the significance of implementing standards and simply adhere to them for the sake of obtaining certification; Some coaching staff lack the ability to protect, manage, and operate intellectual property rights, and are unable to effectively guide enterprises in developing systems suitable for business operations and development. These issues will seriously affect the progress and actual benefits of implementing standards. With the support of the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau and Zhongguo (Beijing) Certification Co., Ltd., a training and seminar on improving the standardization ability of the Shenzhen intellectual property management system were held. The aim is to help enterprises and coaching institutions enhance their ability to implement intellectual property standards. Starting from the actual situation of enterprises, combining standard requirements, integrating intellectual property expertise, and developing an intellectual property management system that is in line with the actual situation of enterprises, avoiding formalism, template setting and other impetuous practices that waste resources and have little effect, promoting the avoidance of virtual intellectual property rights, implementing professionalism and effectiveness, improving the role of intellectual property work in assisting enterprise operations, and promoting the construction of a self-development environment for the use and protection of intellectual property rights.

The positioning of “ability enhancement” in this training has received active participation from enterprises and coaching institutions, with nearly twice the number of applicants exceeding the plan. Teachers such as Wang Hongyou, Shao Ye, and Kong Wei from Zhongguo Company respectively explained the process and key points of implementing standards, system diagnosis, planning, document writing, certification application, and audit process, as well as case analysis. The trainees expressed that this training has strong practicality, significant effects, and huge gains.

On the afternoon of the 12th, commissioned by the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau, Zheng Xiaobing, General Manager of ScienBiziP Group, and Shao Ye, Deputy General Manager of Zhongguo (Beijing) Certification Co., Ltd., co chaired a symposium on the implementation of intellectual property standards in Shenzhen. Representatives attending the symposium included certification companies, standards guidance agencies, and enterprises. The attending representatives expressed their opinions on the adverse phenomena, prominent problems, and work experience that have emerged in the practice of intellectual property standardization in Shenzhen, and put forward multiple beneficial suggestions for the future development of standardization work.
