On March 29th, guided by the Shenzhen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation (Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau), the third and fourth sessions of the “High Value Intellectual Property Cultivation and Service Training” organized by ScienBiziP Group were successfully held at the Pullman Shenzhen Railway Hotel.

The two events respectively focused on the themes of “High Value Intellectual Property Whole Life Management and System Construction” and “High Value Patent Layout Strategies and Practices in Major Overseas Countries”. Several experienced experts in the field of intellectual property were invited to give lectures, and the activities adopted a combination of offline lectures and online live broadcasts, attracting numerous students from enterprises, universities, and institutions to participate.

After the start of the third event, Mr. Xue Xiaowei, General Manager of Shenzhen ScienBiziP Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd., made an opening speech. On behalf of ScienBiziP Group, he welcomed all the students and reviewed the progress of the previous training. He stated that ScienBiziP attaches great importance to the strategic role of technology and patents in enterprise competition from a business and management perspective. The two training sessions have expanded the content to include the full lifecycle management of intellectual property and overseas patent layout practice. He hopes that through a systematic explanation combining theory and practice, all students can gain more benefits.

Mr. He Yide, Deputy General Manager of ScienBiziP Group and one of the first experts to be included in the Guangdong Province Intellectual Property Expert Database, gave a keynote speech on “High Value Patent Lifecycle Management System”. He explained the concepts and requirements of Patent Lifecycle Management (PLCM) and Patent Portfolio Management (PPM) from two aspects: patent value realization and high-value patent cultivation. He introduced the methodology and execution mechanism of patent lifecycle management and portfolio management for the three stages of research and development planning, patent layout, and patent monetization. At the same time, he introduced patent big data tools to explain the issues that need to be paid attention to in patent management from a practical perspective.

Mr. Peng Huijian, Director of ScienBiziP Group and an expert in the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Expert Database, shared on the practice of “enterprise high-value patent lifecycle management and system construction”. He first analyzed the domestic situation of high-value patent applications in recent years and the challenges faced by enterprises. From the perspective of enterprise operation, he introduced various aspects of high-value intellectual property lifecycle management and system construction, including intellectual property work objectives, strategic planning, strategy implementation, talent organization, and institutional construction. In addition to theory, he also brought multiple typical cases to explore with everyone the subtle details and misunderstandings in patent writing and application.

In the fourth event, Ms. Liu Yonghui, Director of ScienBiziP Group, shared on “European Patent Application Practice and Examination Standards”. She introduced the basic situation of the European Patent Convention and the European patent application channels, processes, examination cycles, etc. She gave detailed explanations on the applicable objects, starting conditions, and degree of acceleration of several accelerated procedures. She also sorted out the practical key points such as the documents and fees required for patent applications, and answered common concerns such as PCT fees and the divisional system.

Ms. Tang Fangfang, Director of ScienBiziP Group, gave a keynote speech on “Practice and Examination Standards of Patent Applications in India and Vietnam”. She introduced the basic situation of intellectual property rights and application systems in India and Vietnam, and provided targeted explanations on the unique policy differences between the two countries, such as the procedures for granting patents in India and the accelerated patent process in Vietnam.

During the Q&A session, the on-site students discussed issues such as the European single patent, patent opposition procedures, and trademark application requirements with the instructors. Many students also had one-on-one exchanges with the instructors after the meeting, based on their actual situations and specific problems encountered in their work
